This Privacy Policy explains how Gunrack ("Gunrack," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the website located at gunrack.deals and related services (the "Site"). It applies to visitors, registered users, and Dealers who use the Site.
The Site is intended for users located in the United States. By using the Site, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. This Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service, and should be read together with our Cookie Policy.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide to us
Account information. When you register, we collect information such as your name or username, email address, and password.
Profile and content. Information you add to your profile, and content you submit — including deals, reviews, ratings, votes, and forum posts ("User Content").
Contact form submissions. When you use our contact form, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, and message.
Dealer information. If you register as a Dealer or purchase a Dealer subscription, we collect business information, contact details, the product and pricing data you submit or feed to the Site, and account/billing details.
Communications. Information you provide when you contact us or correspond with us.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, including:
Usage and device data. IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, and dates/times of access.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, analytics, and (for advertising served on the Site) ad measurement. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.
Search and tool inputs. Information such as ZIP codes you enter into the FFL locator or search terms you use, which are processed to return results. We do not require you to create an account to use the FFL locator.
2.3 Information from third parties
Dealer and product data. Product listings, pricing, and availability information provided by, or derived from, third-party Dealers and data sources, which may be associated with the Site's features.
Service providers. Information from analytics, payment, security, and advertising providers as described below.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its features (including price comparison, deals, the FFL locator, reviews, and community features);
Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
Process Dealer subscriptions and payments, and provide Dealer features;
Provide Dealers with analytics about traffic to their listings (see Section 5);
Serve and measure advertising on the Site (see Section 6);
Respond to your contact requests and communications;
Monitor, secure, and protect the Site, detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests; and
Send you service-related communications and, where permitted, other communications you may opt out of.
4. Analytics
We use analytics tools to understand how the Site is used and to improve it. These include the analytics functionality built into our platform and Google Analytics. These tools may use cookies and collect usage and device data (such as IP address, pages viewed, and interactions).

5. Dealer Analytics
Dealers who list on the Site may receive analytics about traffic to their listings — for example, aggregated or de-identified information about how many users viewed or clicked their listings and general information about where that traffic originated. The level of analytics available to a Dealer depends on their subscription tier.
The analytics we provide to Dealers are intended to be aggregated and/or de-identified and are not intended to identify individual users to Dealers. We do not provide Dealers with your account credentials, contact form submissions, or other directly identifying personal information except as necessary to operate the Site or as required by law.
6. Advertising
The Site displays advertising. Advertisers on the Site may use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies to measure and track the performance of their own advertisements — for example, to count impressions and clicks and measure ad effectiveness. This tracking is conducted by or on behalf of the advertisers with respect to their own ads.
These advertising technologies may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser information, and interactions with ads. We do not sell your personal information (see Section 8). However, certain advertising-related data practices may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some U.S. state laws; where applicable, you may exercise the choices described in Section 10. 7. Payment Processing
Dealer subscriptions and other paid features are processed through third-party payment processors, expected to include PayPal and Stripe. When you make a payment, your payment card or account details are provided directly to and processed by the applicable payment processor under its own privacy policy and terms; we do not store your full payment card numbers. We may receive limited transaction information (such as confirmation of payment, the last digits of a card, or billing contact details) to manage your subscription.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described here:
Service providers. With vendors who perform services for us — such as hosting, analytics, payment processing, security, spam prevention (for example, hCaptcha), and email delivery — who are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us.
Advertisers. As described in Section 6, advertisers may collect ad-performance data relating to their own ads on the Site.
Dealers. Aggregated/de-identified traffic analytics as described in Section 5.
Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests; to enforce our Terms; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Gunrack, our users, or others; or to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
With your direction or consent. When you direct us to share information or otherwise consent.
Publicly posted User Content (such as reviews, submitted deals, and forum posts) may be visible to others; please be mindful of what you post.

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and advertising measurement. California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) provides the rights described above. In the twelve months preceding this Policy, we may have collected the categories of information described in Section 2 (identifiers, account and contact information, commercial/transaction information for Dealers, internet/usage activity, and geolocation to the extent a ZIP code is provided). We use and disclose this information for the business purposes described in this Policy. We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising practices described in Section 6 may constitute "sharing"/"targeted advertising" under California law; you may opt out as described above and by managing cookies. California residents may also be entitled to certain "Shine the Light" disclosures; we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Site, maintain your account, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
13. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and specifically do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us personal information, contact us at info@gunrack.deals and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

The Site links to and displays content from third-party websites and services (including Dealers and advertisers). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

Third Parties
Spam Defense
The IPS Spam Defense Service passes the email address and IP address of the registering member to the service to determine the likelihood a registering account is a spam source.
